Are you on information overload?  Information overload means that there is too much information for us to learn and remember.  Graphic organizers are visual tools that help us organize information.  When information is visual and organized, it is easier to understand and remember.  Using and creating graphic organizers is a great way to study and prepare for tests.  Graphic organizers also help us to write and take organized notes. 

Imagine you are in your car, and you don't know where to go.  You can use a map to show you where to go.  When you read a lot of information, your brain does not know where to go.  A graphic organizer will help your brain decide where it needs to go.  A graphic organizer is like a map for ideas.
