Pie Chart

Read:

A pie chart is round.  It has different parts.  Each part shows you a number.  That number is usually a percent.  The number tells you if it is a big part or a small part.  Larger slices represent larger percentages and smaller slices represent smaller percentages.  All of the parts make the whole pie, or 100%.

Example:

71 / 100 = 71%

29 / 100 = 29%

How much time do you spend sleeping?  How much time a day do you spend on Facebook?  How much time do you spend with family?  How much time do you spend on school work?  Once you are aware of what you spend time on, you can manage your time better for school.  In class, you are going to calculate percentages of time spent on activities and create your own pie chart.  Watch the videos below to learn how.

Watch:

Watch the "Google Sheets" videos.  You will learn how to create a pie chart of your time in Google Sheets.  You will also learn how the computer will calculate percent for you.  You will do this in the next face-to-face class session.
