Students in high school and college must take required classes like English and mathematics. They can also choose to take elective classes, like journalism or photography, which may not be required for graduation.

Colleges have different programs. Each program has a different set of requirements for graduation. The one thing that all college programs have in common is general education requirements. General Education means education for everyone; these are classes that all students take. Look at the list below to learn what some of the General Education requirements are at Washington State community and technical colleges.
