Plagiarism - A Serious Offense

Avoiding plagiarism is an important part of maintaining your academic integrity. This is a form of cheating or stealing another person's work, and may have serious consequences. In this course students who plagiarize will be penalized. This is to protect the academic reputation for everyone at this college. When a dishonest or unprepared student from our institution enters the work place it reflects negatively on everyone from the institution - including their fellow students and graduates. Their skills and work ethic reflect the education received. When you knowingly help another student participate in these activities, they will be unprepared or unethical in the work place. Their educational references will be the same as yours. If they create a negative impression of our graduates it will reflect on you as a fellow graduate.

Please take the time to go through these websites and familiarize yourself with what plagiarism is and how to avoid it. If you are unsure on something, please ask because you are responsible for anything you put your name to, even if it was an accident.
