👩🎓 Orientation Overview 👀
During 2nd quarter you will not be in class on Friday's to allow you the opportunity to complete your lectures, lessons, assignments and tests. We will meet on Zoom each Friday from 9am to 12pm to cover theory. All assignments and tests will be done through canvas instead of in class. Each lesson, assignment and test will have a specific due date so please pay attention to due dates. You can access the assignments at any time up to the end of the quarter but they will be graded at -10 for anything turned in past the due date. Anything over 7 calendar days late will drop to an 80%. All assignments must be turned in by the final due date on the calendar or will receive a 0 grade. If you receive a zero grade you will not pass a module. If you have received a zero grade for any exam you will not pass the module. Please make sure you are not looking at the canvas total grade. This is not the grade that we go by. Each module is a stand alone module and you must get at least an 80% in each. The modules have been combined into one classroom for ease of use so remember that total canvas grade is not accurate.
Each module can be accessed through the module buttons on the home page or you can navigate to them through the modules tab on the left side of the page.
Each module will have a practice test that can be taken as many times as necessary to get 100%. You must get a 100% in order to unlock the module test. Make sure you take the practice test in plenty of time before the module test is due. Module tests can't be taken late. If a module test is late and passed the score will automatically be reduced to an 80%. You must complete exams with at least an 80% in order to pass the module they are attached to. If you do not pass the module test with at least an 80% you will be given the opportunity for a retake, but must score high enough on the retake to get an averaged score of 80% when the two exam grades are averaged together. If this grade is not 80% or higher you will not pass the module.
After completing this module you should be able to:
- Understand the components of the second quarter orientation to include policies and procedures.
- Understand the expectations regarding theory, assignments, supplies, and tests.
- Print and sign the orientation document.
- Update your canvas account picture.
