The time you spend in school is very closely monitored. It is regulated by the Department of Licensing and not negotiable. You must have the required number of hours per quarter in order to successfully pass the current quarter and move on to the next quarter. If you don't have enough quarterly hours you will not move on to the next quarter, period.

There are several opportunities throughout the quarter for you to make up missed time. You are responsible for making the arrangements early and often to make up missed time whenever it is available to you. Some helpful things to remember about making up time:

It is not the responsibility of your instructor to stay at work late in order to make it convenient for you to make up time. It may not be convenient to have to make up time but it is necessary.
Asking or expecting an instructor to stay late beyond their normal working hours is asking or expecting them to work for free. How many people do you know who are willing to go into work for free?
Make up time must be under the direct supervision of an instructor - if an instructor is not going to stay late you will not be staying late - don't assume that you will have lots of opportunities and wait.
Do not wait until the end of the quarter to make up you time, schedules are often very sporadic and hectic at the end of the quarter, there may not be an opportunity for you to make up time and if you run out of time, you will not move on to the next quarter.
Make up time can be banked - if you know that you will need to miss a day - make the time up early before you miss the day if you can.

You have opportunity to come in early or stay late by arrangement and approval only:

7:30am to 8:00am - Monday through Thursday
2:30pm to 3:30pm - Monday through Thursday
2:30pm to 10:00pm - Monday through Thursday
9:00am to 3:30pm - Fridays
Those are the only times recognized and must be prior approved or the time will not count. If you plan on coming in early you must let me know, for security reasons I do not open the door until after 7:30 unless I know someone is coming. If you arrive at 7:30 and the doors are not yet opened, email me to let me know you are there and wait at the door - do not call security to let you in. I will open the door as soon as possible and if you are at the door when I open it you will get credit for arriving at 7:30. If you go back to your car and wait you will not get credit.
