No lecture or quiz this week!

As you've probably figured out by now, this class is designed to get you thinking, reflecting and writing a lot.

The narrative essay you'll be writing will be driven by a series of invisible questions. Invisible questions are questions only the writer sees.

The objectives of this assignment are twofold:

1. Show you how easy writing can be if you just create a list of invisible questions first, which I have done for you in the assignment. (If you want to create your own invisible questions, that's fine, too. But please list those questions at the bottom of your essay.)

You will never suffer from writer's block if you begin by writing a list of questions the reader will never see. They will only see your well-developed answers.

2. Narrative essays help students express themselves in creative and compelling ways. Many business emails, cover letters and correspondence require a good conversational tone. This next assignment is aimed at showing you how to be engaging through your writing. It's a great skill to have no matter what job you have.

Be comfortable asserting your opinion. WHAT YOU THINK MATTERS! Getting your point across in a professional manner is a very important skill to have in the workplace. It starts with writing down your thoughts and then shaping those thoughts to make your best points.
