Rules of conduct:

Students must follow these rules of conduct to ensure a quality learning environment.

Students are not allowed in the office without instructor’s permission.
Students are expected to engage themselves in the learning process and come to class prepared, with writing utensils, notepaper, textbooks
Students must behave in a professional manner at all times. Inappropriate behavior, such as but not limited to horseplay, practical jokes and/or any type of disruption will not be tolerated. Disruption of the learning environment can and will be subject to disciplinary action under the student handbook. (Refer to Students Rights and Responsibilities p18 student handbook).
Foul language and inappropriate jokes will not be tolerated. See “Harassment”, page 18-21 of the student handbook.
Students must provide their own required Personal Protective Equipment (Tool List)
Full clean up every day. All students are responsible for keeping the weld shop clean and free of safety hazards. Students will be assigned cleaning responsibilities throughout the lab. A senior student will monitor the cleanup assuring good quality housekeeping. Remember good cleaning habits result in reduced injuries and safety hazards.
Return all borrowed tools and equipment to their storage places.
Turn in all lost and found personal tools to instructor or tech aid.
Do not lock parts/program tools in your toolbox.
Food such as snacks and beverages that have closable top are acceptable in the classroom.(No lunch room/fast-food/restaurant-style meals during lecture!)
No food or drink is allowed in the welding lab.
Participation is required on the last day of class for full shop clean up.
Consult CPTC student handbook for college policies and procedures.
A student who is asked to leave class will lose credit for the day.
