COURSE DESCRIPTION

Provides a basic foundation of math skills directly related to performing functions required in the construction trades, along with essential knowledge required to accurately read and interpret blueprints, plans and schematics. Math skills and the ability to correctly interpret plans, prints are critically important to the construction process to ensure jobs are completed professionally and on time. This foundational training includes, but is not limited to, ability to measure and cut various materials correctly, understand and use the metric system of measurement, solve questions related weight, volume, pressure, angles of fall, etc. and understand "scale" and its relationship to the finished product.
