DAS221 17348 - SU25 - Clinical Experience II

This is your first clinical experience course.  You will complete 132 hours in this course before moving on to DAS 227 Clinical Experience II where you will complete the remaining 102 hours of charside externship.  This course should be completed in the first five (5) weeks of this quarter to stay on track for graduating at the end of summer quarter.  That is an average of 26 hours per week.  If you complete your total clinical hours early (before the end of week 9), you can start looking for a job!

Each week you will turn in a goal sheet, and clinical practice record (record of the procedures you either observed or participated in).  Every other week, you will turn in these same two (2) forms, but in addition, a clinical evaluation that has been completed by someone in the office who has observed your performance for the two (2) week period.  Weekly forms are due NO LATER than 11:59pm on Sunday evenings.  The only form I will take late is the clinical evaluation from the office staff.  You will turn your completed forms in online in Canvas by scanning them and uploading them to the weekly drop box.  Do not fail this course because of late paperwork!
